Double-edged blade with a central fuller, two small holes in the fuller near the hilt, and gold inlay: a pair of palmettes on one face and running scrolls on the other. The fuller has a patterned surface. The grip is a pale material between two engraved metal mounts. The scabbard is covered in dark leather, with a pierced metal band and a metal tip. No inscription was read. The gallery describes it as a Caucasus weapon; the photographs do not narrow that further, and they do not settle whether the grip is ivory.
